Description |
Small collection of photographs, papers, and one book relating to the Benjamin family. Photographs include portraits and snapshots of Joanna Hillyer (Egbert) Benjamin, her husband Edgar Laing Benjamin, and their children Charles Egbert, Marjorie Edgar, Alan Dakin, and Alice Elizabeth. Also included are portraits of Joanna Benjamin's mother and father, Alice E. (Hillyer) Egbert and Barnett Egbert, Jr. One photograph shows the Benjamin children in costume for the Hudson-Fulton celebration; it is accompanied by one page of sheet music with a handwritten note on the reverse. Also included are a news clipping mentioning Edgar Laing Benjamin; a book inscribed to Alice E. Hillyer by her brother, 1851; and various papers relating to research on family genealogy and quilt or bedspread 12.005.0002.
