Ownership and History |
Thomas Roulston Inc. operated a chain of self-service grocery stores in Staten Island, Long Island, and Brooklyn. In the 1930s and 1940s, there were at times as many as 60 Roulston stores on Staten Island. By the early 1950s, only a few of the chain's supermarkets remained on the Island. This tin came to the Staten Island Historical Society in 1967 as part of a large collection of household items from the home of Frederick C. and Mary (Prall) Decker of New Springville. |
