This document is a handwritten announcement seeking estimates for painting the Third County Courthouse in Richmond, Staten Island. Inscription: "Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors / of Richmond County will, on Monday 16th June / 1851, meet at their Office in the Court-House at / 10 Oclock in the morning, for the purpose of receiving / estimates for the painting the Interior of the Court / room, as herein after named, to wit-- / 1st The ceiling of said Court room to be thoroughly / cleaned, and two coats of best whiting put on-- / 2nd The side walls to be well aire'd, and to have / two coats of best paint, Salmon colour, / 3rd All the wood work excepting that now grained / to be well cleaned, and to have one coat of / best white lead paint, all benches included-- / 4th All the wood work that is now grained to / be well varnished, including hand railing, / and one doz. and half of chairs -- -- / N.B.
