Annual report, 24 pages with soft cover, highlighting activities and achievements of the Department of Air Pollution Control of the City of New York. Cover has two aerial views of the southern tip of Manhattan, one with smog and one with clear skies, and the words, "1966 / ANNUAL REPORT / 1967 / THE CITY OF NEW YORK . DEPARTMENT OF AIR POLLUTION CONTROL / 51 ASTOR PLACE . NEW YORK, NEW YORK 10003". Page one introduces the report with a letter from Commissioner Austin N. Heller to Mayor John V. Lindsay. Among the illustrations in the report is a photograph on page 24 captioned "Light, air-conditioned laboratories with modern equipment facilitate the work of the Bureau of Technical Services." One of the five men in the laboratory is smoking a pipe. The back cover has the New York City seal printed in blue. Credits on the back cover list writers Carolyn Konheim, Arthur Plutzer, Seymour Mouber, and Frank Elkins; editor and production supervisor Retha Odom; design and artwork by E. Russel Payne.
