The inscription begins: "St. Simon's Fair, Baby Parade and Dance Combined / Make this the Biggest Event on the South Shore / Dear Parents: / St. Simon's Chapel will hold its famous Annual Fair, Baby Parade and Dance in the afternoon and evening of Wednesday, November 2nd, 1921 at Stapleton Club Rooms, Van Duzer and Prospect Streets, Stapleton. / ..." The announcement lists prizes for "lady wearing prettiest paper dress," most beautiful baby, best decorated go-cart or carriage, most original costume, best decorated float, most beautiful child, and best decorated doll's carriage.
