Abraham Ellis (1809-1873) was involved in the clay mining industry in Kreischerville, Staten Island. From 1853 to 1856 he served as Sheriff of Richmond County. Portrait painter John Bradley was born in Great Britain and immigrated to United States. He was active in the New York City area from 1832 to 1847. |
