Description |
This document is an invoice from the general store of Stephen D. Stephens in Richmond, Staten Island. It is handwritten on off-white paper with printed blue lines. Inscription at the top of the page: "Mr Abraham Cole / Bought of S.D. Stephens." The page has a list of items purchased from May through June 1854; it also includes a $12 credit for 100 shad. Items purchased include "summer stuff" (presumably fabric for clothing), salt, dessert plates, sugar, tea, skein of silk, coffee, nutmeg, ginger, senna, lamp oil, closet lock, indigo, straw hats, and nails.
