Ownership and History |
Joseph Ward Wanty (born 1870) was a harnessmaker. In later years he also sold products for automobiles. His business was mentioned in the Richmond County Advance on September 22, 1900: "Doing Business. Joseph W. Wanty of New Brighton reports business very brisk, and to judge from the number of new style saddles that have been disposed of during the season, the general consensus of opinion seems to be that it is a 'good thing.' Mr. Wanty manufactures and sells all kinds of horse goods, golf supplies, etc., and numbers among his customers the owners of some of the finest 'rigs.' " |
