Ownership and History |
This stuffed animal was made for Jane DePuy (1900-1991), who lived most of her life in Port Richmond, Staten Island. As an adult Jane worked as the volunteer curator at the Staten Island Historical Society. During World War II she served in the Women's Army Corp (WAC). For part of her service she was stationed in Berlin with the armed forces as a staff sergeant working in counterintelligence. |
