Description |
This document is an invoice from the general store of Stephen D. Stephens in Richmond, Staten Island. It is handwritten on off-white paper. Inscription at the top of the page: "Abraham Cole / Bought of S.D. Stephens." The page has a list of items purchased from February through April 1857, and it also includes credits. Items purchased include various types of muslin, a dung fork, skeins of French cotton, coffee, tea, wrought nails, calico, paint brush, lamp black, matches, clover seeds, senna, batt cotton, a brown wash bowl, and needles. Credits include amounts for butter and eggs. The final balance is $0.04. Inscription at the bottom of the page: "Received Payment in full / S.D. Stephens."
