Ownership and History |
"M B Co." is the manufacturer's mark of the Meriden Britannia Co. The Meriden Britannia Co. manufactured flatware, holloware, and other household items out of britannia, a pewter-like alloy. Most of these items were silver-plated. The company was founded in 1852 and merged with the International Silver Company in 1898. The Meriden Britannia Co.'s manufacturer's mark was used until about 1930. |
