Original B&W print on beige cardboard mount. Front view of a two-story clapboard house with a front porch. A man stands in the foreground at left, holding the bridles of two horses. A woman stands close to the house. Both people look toward the camera. There is a wooden barrel on the ground to the right of the house, and planters with flowers on the railing of the stairs leading to the porch. The house looks weathered, with damaged gutters and several baluster spindles missing from the stair and porch railing. Printed inscription on the reverse of the mount: "ALEXANDER & TOLMAN, / 1780-10TH AVE., COR. 102ND ST., N.Y." Handwritten inscription on the reverse of the mount: "William Bellach & wife Wilhe[rest is cut off] / Richmond Rd Dongan H[rest is cut off]." (Keywords: New York) |
