Original B&W print on a beige cardboard mount. Interior view of a room with two rows of bunk beds at Halloran General Hospital in Willowbrook, Staten Island. The beds are filled with men wearing military uniforms. The men in the top bunks are reclining and reading; the men in the bottom bunks are seated and reading, writing, or conversing with others. Two women nurses in uniform are speaking with two of the soldiers, and in the center aisle is a man wearing white pants and a jacket with a cross on the sleeve.
