Original B&W film negative. View of the sign for '"MAJORS / DISCOUNT DEPARTMENT STORE;" the sign has a large figure of a man wearing a band uniform and a shako hat. The store is in the background, with large sign "MAJORS" on the building. The store was located at Forest Avenue and Grandview Avenue in Mariners Harbor, Staten Island. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Weitzman / Island / Views / 1 each / 8x10." (Keywords: New York City, Twentieth Century) |
