Original B&W print. Diagonal front and side view of a building at 951 Richmond Avenue, near the intersection with Forest Avenue, in Graniteville, Staten Island. The building appears to be a house with a store added to the front; the addition is in poor repair. An advertisement for Heinz is on the side of the storefront. Handwritten inscription on the reverse of the photo: "51 / #951." The original negative sleeve has a handwritten inscription: "51 of 57 / 951 / Richmond Ave / Victory Blvd to Forest Ave / May 14, 1941." (Keywords: New York City, Twentieth Century) |
