Description |
Original B&W print on cream cardboard mount. Interior view of a large workshop at the C.W. Hunt Company factory in West New Brighton, Staten Island, seen from an elevated vantage point. At left are several stacks of sections of track or rails, with a set of tracks or rails in the floor at far left. To the right, two men stand behind a pair of buckets for machinery, with tools in their hands; several men stand near large machines behind them. Stacks of buckets can be seen in the background, as well as other machines and equipment; there is an overhead track at right. The shop is open to the roof, which appears to be made mostly of glass to let in sunlight. (Keywords: New York) |
