Ownership and History |
This view shows the Third County Courthouse nearly a century after it was built in 1837. No longer in use by the courts, the building underwent renovations in the early 1930s. During the 1930s and 1940s, it housed a variety of community service agencies. It was turned over to the care of the Staten Island Historical Society in 1948 and became Historic Richmond Town's Visitor Center. |
