Original B&W print. Side view of a horse-drawn fire engine (steam pumper) with a man in uniform in the driver's seat and two horses harnessed in front. The fire engine is on a street with a rocky hillside in the background; several people, possibly young boys, can be seen on the hillside. A fire hydrant is in the foreground at right. Handwritten inscription on reverse: "Decoration Day 1900." Found in a paper sleeve with printed inscription "HASTINGS & MILLER, / PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIALS, / 113 NASSAU ST., N.Y." and handwritten inscriptions "Engine Co. / Niagara 5" and "ENGINE CO. N. 5".
