Original glass plate negative. View in Manhattan of an elevated railroad station with a few men and women waiting on the platform. Advertisements on the buildings surrounding the station include: "Old Domino Cigarettes," "Childrens Carriage Manufy," "Disosway & Henderson Hardware," and "If you see it in THE SUN it's so." The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Stanley / 35 / 529 / 9th Ave Elevated Station / Cortlandt St / Cloudy day / W.L. 1.20 P.M / 60 ft Inst / Monday March 27th 1893."
