Original B&W postcard. Front view of the Engine 159 firehouse in Dongan Hills, Staten Island. The two-story building has a square tower at left, and two pairs of open double doors on the ground floor. Sign over the doors: "159 ENGINE 159." Two fire vehicles are in front of the building; on the left is a motorized fire truck with a ladder on the side; on the right is a horse-drawn fire wagon. Each has a man seated in the driver's seat, with two more men standing on the truck; all are wearing firefighters' uniforms. Printed caption at lower right: "Fire Department, Dongan Hills, Staten Island, N.Y." Printed inscription at lower left: "PUBL. BY / W. J. GRIMSHAW."
