Ownership and History |
The Actors Fund was established in 1882 as a charity to provide assistance to men and women in the theatrical profession. In 1902, the Actors Fund Home for retired entertainers opened on Staten Island. The home was relocated to Englewood, New Jersey, in 1928, and is still in operation as an assisted living and nursing care facility called The Lillian Booth Actors Home of The Actors Fund. |
