Original glass plate negative. View of parade grounds and buildings at Fort Frontenac in Kingston, Canada. Two rows of soldiers in uniform stand behind a large wheeled cart carrying a cannon and a limber box. Another man in uniform stands next to the cart. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription, which also refers to negative 50.015.6057: "Cramer / C / 982 & 983 / A Battery / Recruits limbered up / 60 ft 2.55 P.M / W.L. / 983 Gate & sentry 3.15 P.M / 60 ft Inst fastest / Kingston Barracks." |
