Ownership and History |
Benedict Parker's store was mentioned in the Richmond County Advance on May 21, 1887: "The fine new double building of Mr. Benedict Parker, on Castleton avenue, West New Brighton, is rapidly nearing completion, and will, when finished, be one of the finest structures on that thoroughfare, which is fast becoming the business centre of the town." He was still in business in 1896, as noted in th Advance: "Benedict Parker, the Castleton avenue grocer, has purchased a fine new delivery wagon from Isaac S. Booth & Co., the well-known wagon builders of West Brighton." |
