Ownership and History |
The Midland Beach resort suffered a devastating fire on September 26, 1924. An article in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reported that within hours, the massive blaze had "reduced the resort to a heap of smouldering ruins." The fire also affected a nearby bungalow colony; the article noted that residents formed a bucket brigade, "dousing the roofs of the bungalows with water to protect them from the burning embers." |
