Description Woman's hat. Small round black felt disk holds 15 pink fabric roses with 9 green leaves. Disk is surrounded by a wire ring covered with black felt. Hat is covered with a black veil.

Acquisition Gift of Rosalie Litinsky
Ownership and History This hat was worn by Rosalie (Mord) Litinsky (1910-1993) of Staten Island, daughter of Marie (Isaacs) Mord and Reuben Mord. Prior to her marriage, Rosalie Mord worked as a social worker at Staten Island Hospital. She married Dr. Henry Litinsky in 1938, and in 1947 they moved to 65 Rose Avenue in New Dorp, where Dr. Litinsky also maintained his medical office.
