Object Name Purse
Date 1920s
Description Beaded purse. Metal beads, mostly silver-colored with floral design in red, green, and blue, with vertical gold curving lines at top. Fringe at bottom. Gold metal hinged clasp with chain handle. Lined with pink fabric, possibly silk; interior has one pocket stitched to lining, gathered near top edge. At top center is a woven label: "MADE IN FRANCE". The reflective background beads are round and the design is made of faceted beads; pattern is the same on front and reverse. Front and reverse appear to be have been made separately on a beading loom, then stitched together. Measures 9 inches high (not including handle) x 5 inches wide.
