Ownership and History Richard Nixon (1913-1994) defeated Democrat Hubert Humphrey in the 1968 election to become the 37th President of the United States. Nixon defeated Democratic challenger George McGovern in the 1972 presidential election. He resigned from office in August 1974.

Spiro Theodore Agnew (1918-1996) was the 39th Vice President of the United States. He served from 1969 until his resignation in October 1973.

Collectors sometimes use the term jugate to describe an object with a pair of portrait images.
