Description Certificate of baptism. Engraved border of images of religious figures. Printed and handwritten inscription: "Frank Livingstone / a child of George Rossbach / and his wife Minnie nee Lupus / born at West N. Brighton, S.I., N.Y. March 5, 1893 / was baptized in the house of his parents / on the 22d day of September 1893 / in the Name of the / [illegible] God, / the Father, the Son and the holy Ghost, / which is herewith certified by / H. Schroeder, / Luth. Pastor. / SPONSORS: / Frank Lupus / Rosine Rossbach." Printed at bottom: "Concordia Publ. House St. Louis, Mo. / COPYRIGHT 1878". There is a raised seal at the bottom center with a cross and inscription: "DEUTSCHE EV. LUTH. ST JOHANNES CEM UAC / PORT RICHMOND / STATEN ISL N.Y."

Acquisition Gift of Frank L. Rossbach
Ownership and History Frank L. Rossbach was a resident of West New Brighton, Staten Island. He worked as an electrician and also operated a bicycle repair shop on Castleton Avenue. He donated this certificate to the Staten Island Historical Society in 1962.
