Trade card. Tinted lithograph on paper. Illustration of the Brooklyn Bridge with numerous sailing ships and steamships in the water below; a hot air balloon flies above, and above at right is an illustration of a factory with caption "No 4 MILL." The bridge is constructed of thread, spools, bobbins, and crates. Printed inscription in the image: "WILLIMANTIC / SIX CORD / SPOOL COTTON". Inscription in border below: "THE GREAT WILLIMANTIC BRIDGE / CONNECTING ALL THE STATES WITH STRANDS OF SIX CORD SPOOL COTTON." In small print below image: "Forbes Co. Boston". The reverse side has the Willimantic logo printed in the center, with inscription "America Ahead! / All the Honors. / Atlanta, 1881. / ASK FOR IT! BUY IT!! TRY IT!!!" Stamped inscription: "FOR SALE AT / DRAKE'S EMPORIUM, / SUMMERVILLE, S.I." Handwritten inscriptions on reverse around the edges, illegible except for one: "Ella Lake".
