There is a boat dock in the center of the shoreline. Printed caption: "ELLIOTTSVILLE. S. I." Printed inscription below the image: "Lith. of F.& S. Palmer, 55 Ludlow St. N.Y." Dimensions are 13.750" H. x 19" W.

Acquisition Museum Purchase
Ownership and History This view shows the houses and land owned by Dr. Samuel MacKenzie Elliott, an eye surgeon. Dr. Elliott was born in Scotland, and settled on Staten Island in 1839. The neighborhood was then known as Elliottsville (more commonly spelled "Elliottville") and is today called Livingston.
