|Ownership and History||
In this game, players assembled sets of cards from different Shakespeare plays, perhaps learning to recognize some of the famous quotations as they played.
This game was donated to the Staten Island Historical Society by the family of Henry H. Nutt. Mr. Nutt served as a pilot in the Army Air Corps in World War I. In the 1920s, he built the Tysen Manor Golf Course in New Dorp, Staten Island, and operated it from 1928 to 1936. The golf course's clubhouse later became the popular Tavern on the Green restaurant. He also worked as a real estate appraiser for Staten Island Savings Bank.
