Among the news items are Westerleigh Improvement Society elections; an address to the society by Borough President Robert T. Connor; the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Westerleigh Park (which included the planting of a permanent fir tree by the Department of Parks), and a new branch of the Westerleigh Savings and Loan Association, which "has now opened a branch office in Eltingville." Other articles include an obituary of Mr. Jose M. Cuyar, age 85, of 274 Neal Dow Avenue.
