|Ownership and History||
Ruth Danischewski (1929-2006), a lifelong resident of Staten Island, wore this dress to her son Glen's 8th grade graduation in June 1978.
Mrs. Danischewski grew up on Decker Avenue in Port Richmond, Staten Island, graduated from Port Richmond High School in 1946, and received bachelor's and master's degrees from Wagner College. She was married in 1961 to E. Keith Danischewski and had two sons, Roy and Glen. The family lived on Hart Boulevard in West New Brighton. A schoolteacher for 33 years, Mrs. Danischewski spent much of her career at P.S. 46 in South Beach, Staten Island, retiring in 1990.
