Rectangular fabric patch, blue with silver edging; embroidered black and gold firefighter's turnout coat in center, inscribed "FDNY / BINI," with helmet inscribed "5" on shelf above; embroidered in white and silver: "ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS / Sept. 11 2001 / CARL BINI / RESCUE 5;" reverse side has a clear plastic coating.

|Ownership and History||This patch was created in memory of Carl Bini, a firefighter with Rescue 5 in Concord, Staten Island; he was killed in the terrorist attacks on New York City on September 11, 2001. It was presented to the Staten Island Historical Society by Bini's sister, Rosemarie Corvino.|
