Object Name Knife, Pocket
Date ca. 1930s-1940s
Description Small metal pocket knife. Handle has light green hard plastic coating and the Girl Scouts' emblem in gold. Metal loop at one end. Four blades: drop point utility blade, screwdriver bottle opener, awl, and can opener. Blades are carbon steel. Inscription on base of one of the blades: "KUTMASTER / UTICA N.Y." Inscription carved into plastic part of handle: "Rita." Inscription carved into metal part of handle: "RE."

Ownership and History This pocket knife is part of a small collection of Girl Scout items used by Rita Erlandsen on Staten Island in the 1930s and 1940s.
