Object Name Card, Greeting
Date ca. 1880-1915
Description Three-dimensional greeting card with a cord at the top to hang for display (or as a Christmas tree ornament). Lozenge-shaped cushion covered with beige satin and edged with off-white silk fringe, backed with cardboard; at center of cushion is an applied circular greeting card, surrounded with beige silk and metallic braid cord. The card is color-printed with a sprig of lilies of the valley with ivy and a printed inscription, "May / thy Christmas be all / Love and Happiness". Reverse side has handwritten inscription in ink on cardboard, "Miss Austin. [sic] / from / Florence Wolf." The reverse side also has a penciled mark, possibly the number "19".
