Ownership and History As defined on page 3 of this booklet:
"The object of the Association shall be to encourage the planting of trees along the public highways and squares and on private property adjoining the same; the preservation and protection of trees, shrubs, and herbacious plants already growing, or to be planted hereafter; the beautifying of public highways and places; the erection of drinking fountains for men and animals."
