Description Trade card. Chromolithograph on paper in the shape of a spool of thread. Illustration of a woman and a young child, with a crib in the background at right. A large spool of "CLARK'S / O.N.T. / SPOOL COTTON" thread is on the floor, and the woman is using a piece of thread from the spool to assist the child in standing. Printed at bottom: "NOTHING STRONGER CAN THERE BE, THAN MOTHER'S LOVE AND O.N.T." Printed on reverse: "If the Lady who reads this card / will buy / CLARK'S / O.N.T. / SPOOL COTTON / SHE WILL GET THE / BEST THREAD FOR HAND& MACHINE SEWING. / IT IS WOUND ON / WHITE SPOOLS /..." Stamped mark on reverse: "FOR SALE AT / DRAKE'S EMPORIUM / SUMMERVILLE, S.I."
