Woman's beret. Made of alternating bands of white ribbon and blue braid, gathered to a centerpoint on the crown. Coil of blue braid on top center of the crown, with a short red grosgrain ribbon streamer. Shaped red grosgrain ribbon headband overlaps in front. Cloth label sewn to headband: "Dachettes / Designed by Lilly Dache." Lilly Dache (1907-1989) started her business in 1924, and designed hats, purses, costume jewelry, and other accessories until her retirement in 1968.
