Description Miniature glass mug with fake beverage (beer or ale) and foam; red ribbon around mug handle is attached to a round button with a color illustration of animals and inscription: "ANNUAL FAIR." Printed paper label on back of button: "W.F. MILLER / 134 Park Row / N.Y. City / Mfr. & Impr. / of Novelties. / Send for / Catalogue."
Ownership and History This item has been attributed in Staten Island Historical Society records to the Richmond County Fair, Staten Island. In the early twentieth century, the Richmond County Fair Grounds were located in Dongan Hills. The tradition of the Richmond County Fair has continued into the twenty-first century with an annual event held at Historic Richmond Town.
