Description Pair of girl's white gloves. White gauze cuff at wrist. Decorating the cuff are synthetic pearls and a white synthetic silk bow with a white flower in the center. Inside the left hand glove is a printed label which reads: "90% NYLON 10% SPANDEX / SIZE: 4 - 7 / MADE IN CHINA". (Left hand is .A and right hand is .B)

Ownership and History This is part of a group of items associated with the First Holy Communion of Gianna Marie Galizia of Staten Island, presented to the Staten Island Historical Society by Gianna's grandmother. Gianna was born in 2001 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Staten Island. Her First Holy Communion took place at the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Child in Eltingville, Staten Island on May 9, 2009. A celebration was held that same day at the Excelsior Grand on Hylan Boulevard.

The dress and gloves were purchased at the store Small Wonders on New Dorp Lane.
