Sedutto's brand half-gallon coated-paper ice cream container with lid. Container sides are blue with white spots in the shape of Staten Island; a gold banner on the front has the inscription "STATEN ISLAND'S OWN". The banner crosses a circle which contains a list of Staten Island town names. Printed on the reverse side: "STATEN ISLAND'S OWN / c/o Sedutto Ice Cream / 2000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, New York 10301 / 448-2000"
(Keywords: Twentieth Century)
|Ownership and History||For many years, Sedutto's ice cream was manufactured in a factory on Richmond Terrace in Port Richmond, Staten Island. This container was used as the packaging for a new ice cream product, Staten Island's Own, which was produced by Sedutto in 1994 and sold only on Staten Island. Although the Port Richmond plant closed in 1995, the Sedutto's brand still exists as of 2012.|
