Woman's hat. Rounded square shape, made of polychrome fabric in red, blue, silver, gold, and black. Slightly rounded crown has a stuffed dome-shaped cushion in the center that holds 28 multicolor beaded and jeweled pins (with 2 pins missing). Black synthetic fabric lining, with black grosgrain ribbon headband. Fabric label sewn to headband: "UNION MADE / CW 029952 / IN USA." Hat is stored in its original cardboard hatbox. Lid of hatbox has printed inscription: "GIbraltar 7-4149 / Miracle Hat Shop / Handbags - Hosiery - Jewelry / 85 VICTORY BOULEVARD / Staten Island 1, N.Y. / Rose Brenner." The Miracle Hat Shop was in business from 1949 to 1965. It was located at the 85 Victory Boulevard address from 1949 to 1958.
