Description Original B&W film negative. Diagonal front and side view of a 1-story building with a sign hanging in front: "UNCLE FRANK'S / BAR & PIZZA / RESTAURANT." Inscription on the building: "PIZZA PIES / & HOT DINNERS / to take out!" The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Jesse Silverman / 9/25/64 Uncle Frank Tavern / 1221 Bay St / 3 photos 2 each / 18.00 / tax 72 / 18.72."

Acquisition Gift of Herbert A. Flamm
Ownership and History Uncle Frank's Restaurant and Bar was located at 1221 Bay Street in Rosebank, Staten Island. Their advertisement in the 1964 telephone directory noted that they served "All kinds of Italian foods," including spaghetti, seafood, heros, and pizza.
