Description Original B&W photo postcard. Front and side view of a plain two-story clapboard house. The front porch has three columns. In the foreground is a lawn and a walkway with two steps. A girl sits on the edge of the porch, with two rocking chairs on the porch behind her. A woman is standing on the lawn at far right. Printed inscription at the bottom of the photo: " 'YETMAN HOUSE' SPRAGUE AVE., TOTTENVILLE, N.Y." Printed on reverse: "POST CARD / THE ADDRESS TO BE WRITTEN ON THIS SIDE / Place 1-Cent / Stamp Here".

Ownership and History The girl seated on the porch is Inez Addy Yetman (1900-1991), who grew up in Tottenville, Staten Island. In the 1900 census, at age 2 months, she and her sister Mary resided on Sprague Avenue with their parents, their aunt, and their grandfather.
