Description Original glass plate negative. Interior view of the middle parlor at Clear Comfort, the Austen family home in Rosebank, Staten Island. Furnishings include a grand piano, a piano stool, a music stand, a spinning wheel, a rocking chair, a corner cupboard, and three framed prints on the wall. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Cramer / 25 / 795 / Middle room from hall / piano / Fine day flashed light / W.L. / 10.15 A.M / 25 ft / 2 3/4 mins / Wed. Jan 2nd 1895."
