Description Original B&W print. Diagonal front and side view of HRT's Crocheron House as it is being moved from Greenridge to Richmondtown. The house is a one and one-half story wood frame building with a gambrel roof (the porch and columns are not visible in this photo, having been removed for the relocation process). The house is seen from above; it rests on a platform pulled by a large truck. The roadway and bystanders are in the foreground and twentieth-century suburban houses are visible in the distance at right.

Ownership and History The process of moving the Crocheron House began on Monday, October 19, 1987. After three long days of effort, the house eventually arrived at about 3 am on October 22 at Historic Richmond Town, where it promptly received several parking tickets.
