Description Original B&W print on a black cardboard mount. Side view of a horse-drawn fire wagon with twelve men seated and standing on and near it; several of the men are wearing firefighters' uniforms. Inscription on the side of the wagon: "CATARACT ENGINE / CO. NO. 2." There are two horses harnessed to the wagon. Behind the wagon is a two-story firehouse with a wide, open door. Another building is partly visible at left. Handwritten inscription on reverse: "VAN ST. / W.N. BRIGHTON." A nearly identical photo has an inscription identifying the image as being taken from the back door of one of the buildings of Barrett and Nephews dye works on Broadway in West New Brighton, Staten Island.
