Description Original B&W film negative. View of the rear of the Van Hoesen Bros. Mobilgas service station on Bay Street in Stapleton, Staten Island. The large building across the street has signs "STATEN ISLAND LINEN SUPPLY INC." and "NEW METHOD." The building to the left of New Method dry cleaning has a sign in the window: "WAREHOUSE OUTLET / TUDOR FURNITURE." The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Socony / 7-21-55."
