Fields, roads, and several buildings are visible, with Lemon Creek in the middle ground and trees in the background. At left, a large white building with a wide porch has a sign mounted on the edge of the porch roof: "[illegible] EXTRA LAGER BEER." In the middle distance at left, a three-story building with a gambrel roof has inscriptions painted on front and sides; on front: "SCHOPP'S / HOTEL & BOAT HOUSE;" the inscription on the side is illegible. Handwritten inscription on reverse: "S. R. Barton;" additional inscription in different handwriting: "Princes Bay Inn."
